For Locksmiths, when all other techniques fail, or it’s an emergency, destructive opening is the fastest way through the door.
Destructive entry typically involves removing all or part of the lock cylinder, and then directly turning the cam to open the door.
If the cylinder extrudes the door by more than 3mm, the fastest option is using a Cylinder Cracker. If the cylinder is flush with the door, the Plug Puller is the best option.
A typical destructive entry is finished in less than three minutes; both tools leave the door furniture undamaged.

What’s included?
Cylinder Cracker / Lock Snapper
The Cylinder Cracker / Lock Snapper is the quickest and easiest destructive-entry method for opening Euro-Cylinder locks.

If the cylinder has more than 3mm protrusion, it can be cracked with the tool.
Simply place the tool over the lock, tighten the head with the included Allen-key, and wiggle the tool from left to right and right to left. Within seconds the cylinder breaks cleanly away, and you can open the door.

Dimple locks, pin tumbler locks, electromechanic, high-security locks – if it’s a Euro Profile and sticks out – this tool will defeat it in seconds.

Plug Puller Kit
If the cylinder has less than 3mm protrusion, or has a non-euro profile (ie, round profile) – the Plug Puller is the go-to destructive solution.

A screw is inserted into the cylinder, and the Plug Puller is seated over the top. The knob on the back of the puller is turned with a spanner, and the cylinder is removed.

Stanley FatMax Flat Screwdriver
Once the cylinder has been snapped / the plug removed, the lock still remains closed. To open the door, the cylinder cam must still be turned.

The Stanley FMHT0-62621 flat-headed screwdriver is perfectly adapted to the job: The head fits in perfectly to the cam mechanism on cylinder locks, and it’s strong enough to lever out remaining bits of lock.
